warmin' up
It's been quite some time since Ive put ink to paper so I definitely need a warm up. This sketch is a hack of a Zaffino Conan image, just to be clear about that up front. Zaffino opened my eyes to how raw, pure and unashamed line art can be. So I see it fitting that my first entry here (hopefully of more to come!) is an homage to one of the best.

Hey Josh, my name is Joe Karg and I met you once back in 2004, I think, at the Art Institute for an inking demo. You did a sick Vader image.
Anyway, I am still very close with Elio and we are doing comic work together. Thought you might like to check it out.

This Conan image is great. Zaffino has been a true inspiration to me as well. It is such a shame he's no longer with us.
